>MTB Tour B>Scuol – Sclamischot – NaudersAfter starting in Scuol at the Hotel Bellaval, the route takes us gradually downhill towards Martina and the Swiss border. This is an ideal stretch to get oneself into gear. The beautiful landscape of the Lower Engadine and the trail which is parallel to the course of the river Inn are a joy for every biker. We pass Pradella and Sur-En, reaching Strada. After Strada, the route takes us gradually uphill in the direction of Sclamischot. When we have reached the top, our trail continues through a lovely wooded area, past clearings and vantage points. The route takes us towards Norbertshöhe – the hard climbs are now behind us and we are comfortably headed for the pass summit. From Norbertshöhe one can already see the destination of the day: Nauders. After a brief downhill ride we reach the town and the Hotel Central where we will spend the night. Here Harry Ploner and his team welcome us. An unforgettable 3-Nations Tour day comes to an end in the beautiful spa of the hotel and in the restaurant where we enjoy an excellent dinner.
>Nauders – Reschen – Burgais – Laatsch – Sta. MariaThis day’s programme is characterized by easy climbs and the first glimpses of Italy. Leaving the Hotel Central we ride on the old and traffic-free Roman Road slightly uphill towards Reschen, crossing the Italian border. The route continues past Lake Reschen and Lake Haider down into the Vinschgau while the majestic Ortler and its snow fields rise above us. The old streets of Burgais are worth a stop – later we continue on cycle paths up to Latsch, from here we unhurriedly tackle the last 400 altitude meters of the tour. Crossing the Italian/Swiss border again we round off a pleasant tour day (no bike pushing and away from noisy traffic) at the Hotel Stelvio in Sta. Maria, enjoying a delicious dinner in the Stüva.
>St.Maria – Val Mora – Fraele – Alpisella – LivignoThe most important climb awaits us right at the beginning of the tour. We have to negotiate an almost 1000 m altitude difference until we reach Döss Radond, the entrance to the Val Mora. Val Mora is the name of the unique high valley situated at over 2000 m above sea level which every biker must have experienced at least once. Later we ride on an easy single trail gradually downhill to the Lakes of Fraele. From there, our route takes us in a gradual climb up to the Passo Alpisella. Finally it is downhill all the way to Lake Livigno and into a happy Italian atmosphere. .
>Livigno – Chaschauna – S-chanf – Zernez – ScuolAfter leaving Livigno we are headed for the Val Federia. Now the whole tour until Scuol is well signposted as the “National Park Bike Marathon” route. After approx. 45 minutes on a lovely, easy path into the Val Federia, we begin the ascent to Chaschauna, situated at almost 2,700 m above sea level. This is followed by a great downhill ride (with passages where we carry our bike) in the direction of S-chanf. This is the full programme! Fast stretches, forest trails and technically difficult passages, surrounded by beautiful nature. From S-chanf to Zernez we enjoy an attractive bike route which in part takes us high above the valley. The last stretch from Zernez to Scuol follows the river Inn downstream to Lavin. But then another effort is needed! The way from Lavin high up to Guarda can seem long. But the view of the Engadine Dolomites is unique and makes us forget the hard work and sweat. Guarda – the village of “Schellenursli”! It perches on a plateau high above the valley und enchants everyone with its authentic Engadine houses and its tranquil village centre. The route now takes us through Guarda to Bos-cha and high above Ardez to Ftan and our final destination.
